Kimberly Gordon

Lead Occupational Therapist:
Kimberly started Leap Forward Therapy with a vision of providing quality therapy support to children, teens and their families where they are the leader of their future and goals. Kimberly believes ongoing skill development and therapy input should be a positive and motivating experience where clients are heard and have the choice and control to customise their service provision.
Kimberly is passionate about working with children in collaboration with their families, allied health team and broader circle of supports to provide therapy input catered directly to their needs and interests.
Prior to the launch of Leap Forward Therapy, Kimberly worked in a range of Occupational Therapy fields. Starting out in the community support sector working with paediatrics and adults with neurological and developmental disorders, Kimberly then moved onto working in the disability support sector with adults experiencing a range of physical and neurological conditions. Kimberly has been working within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA), Disability Support for Older Australian (DSOA, previously CAEP) and private clients in these sectors. She has become experienced with prescription of assistive technology and completion of assessments and reports in line with each funding scheme.
